This is a collection of what I consider to be important articles, letters and other interesting items
of VF-6 which I feel would be of interest to all my visitors.
I hope you enjoy this collection, which I have amassed over the years of my Naval Career.
• Buzzy Baur's O'Hare Documents
- These are some letters, etc., given to Hersch Pahl to preserve for posterity, by the man who most likely knew
Butch O'Hare better than anyone - Clyde "Buzzy" Baur. He was Butch O'Hare's plane captain on the Lexington,
and later was the VF-6 maintenance Chief (for Hersch) during the last 3 cruises of WWII.
• History & War time Deck Log of the USS Hancock - This Archive contains the entire Deck Log Record of the U.S.S. Hancock CV-19 actions in WWII
and other interesting VF-6 Historical Data which is downloadable.
There will be more added to this Archive as time permits, and materials are organized for placement
here. This Archive currently is dated 29 October 2009.
The Yeoman is sorry to say that since Captain Herschel Pahl
has passed on, there will be no more additions to this Gallery.
